Lead Architect

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Lead SoC Architect to join an AI hardware start-up pioneering in-memory computing to accelerate AI inference at the edge.

This Lead SoC Architect will drive the architecture in conjunction with Engineers of multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, performance and power efficiency, thermal management, memory, interconnects & packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of SoC requirements and architecture that delivers exceptional customer experiences.
• Define and develop the spec, architecture, and micro-architecture of PCIe Gen 4/5, LPDDR
  4/5, and RISC-V sub-system
• Lead the development and integration of the various IPs
• Manage relationship with IP vendors to procure controller, PHY, and other IPs
• Work closely with the Architecture and SW firmware team for device driver development
  and use it to drive the microarchitecture of the I/O subsystem

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 10+ years' experience leading architecture and design of complex SoCs
• Experience with specialized HW accelerator systems for deep neural network is preferred.
• Experience taping out large-scale SoCs
• Expert knowledge of PCIe/CXL Gen 4/5
• Experienced with SR-IOV, FLR and PCIe driver development

This is a 100% remote position and they are offering up to $275k base and looking to get someone started as soon as possible.
