Derek joined Acceler8 Talent in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience in Talent Acquisition. Before joining Acceler8, Derek honed his skills during his tenure at Endicott College, where he completed two internships. The first was with Recruiterboom in Boston, focusing on permanent placements within HR and Internal Talent Acquisition. His second was with BioPoint Inc. in Peabody, MA, where he specialized in pharmaceutical and biotech consulting roles.
At Acceler8 Talent, Derek is a valued member of the AI/ML team, where he leverages his expertise to connect top-tier candidates with innovative tech companies. He is known for his charismatic attitude and determination to create positive and lasting connections between candidates and clients.
Outside of work, Derek has an interesting background as a former Division 3 lacrosse player at Endicott College. Additionally, he spent his summers as a youth working as a lobsterman in Plymouth, MA. Derek's favorite aspect of his job is meeting new people and engaging in meaningful conversations with his clients and candidates.
A Boston enthusiast, Derek loves the Cisco Brewery in the Seaport district and enjoys spending time at the beach and cheering on Boston sports teams.
